Dearest friends, Thank you for your support in delivering life-changing outcomes for veterans and their families. We have good news to share. The recent Timor Awakening program, TA27, was outstanding. We have created and published a full report on TA27 which you can access here or on our website. For inspiring perspectives on the program's impact, please read our participants' in-depth evaluations. Together, we created a space for healing, growth, and connection that will resonate far beyond the duration of the program. We received positive coverage with Timor national news, An English language Anzac Story on Timor TV, ABC news Australia, Channel 10 QLD and The Catholic Leader. Social Impact Projects. Prior to TA27 we successfully delivered a $2000 donation to Pro Ema that enabled important work in the construction of new training kitchens. Rick Mann has been doing incredible work volunteering at Pro Ema, uniting the veteran community through social media and raising money. For AHHA Education We delivered a $6489 donation that is providing two additional high-protein meals per week for every student and teacher (total of 180) in AHHA schools in the Manu-Fahi district for six months. We recently received a generous donation of $73,855.24 from veteran Craig Thrupp to support our education programs and infrastructure upgrades to the school. We also received $50,000 from the Bowden Marsden Foundation to be used for social justice projects in Timor-Leste. We have enduring established relationships for these programs with CCLN (TL Veterans Council), SABEH medical outreach, AHHA Education and Pro Ema. Projects for these funds will be identified through ongoing consultation. Through extensive consultation, we have identified the most pressing need to build a new water reservoir and bore dedicated to the VETs boarding school in Same. Royal Commision. Government attention and funding remain focused on acute care, despite many submissions at the Royal Commission of Defence and Veteran Suicide calling for urgent re-focus on prevention and early intervention. VCA continue to deliver programs to the extent of our capacity and continues to be fully subscribed to needy applicants. We will continue to advocate for the wider ADF and veteran community and share our lessons learned, and methodologies to improve pathways to save our brothers and sisters who suffer in silence.
