What we do
Veterans Care Association are veterans who support other veterans and their families to overcome Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other challenges.
We assist and give practical, direct support to wounded, injured and sick veterans.
We act as a central hub for veterans services, connecting traditional medical practitioners, complementary/holistic practitioners, therapists, counsellors and more to support your journey to good health and vitality.
Our vision is to raise the level of holistic health and wellbeing in the wider veteran community.
This is achieved through our flagship Timor Awakening program, Australian wellbeing programs, and mentorship programs. We also provide veterans with the opportunity to give back through social impact projects in Timor-Leste and in partnership with other veteran support organisations in Australia.
Support Services
Our Support staff are connected and can advise on the widest range of support services that are available for the veteran community. Any veteran needing support can be guided to the appropriate organisation to meet their needs.
Welfare
To promote a renewed Physical, Emotional, Mental and Spiritual Wellbeing for Veterans, Families and their Supporters. The therapeutic model we advocate is the promotion of a comprehensive resilience-building lifestyle that people intentionally embrace.
Timor Awakening
Timor Awakening is an immersive peer-to-peer wellbeing program for veterans, combining holistic health education, self-awareness, group therapy, mentoring, counselling, physical activity, historical commemoration, and community development.
